In highly effective teams, members’ personal goals are subservient to the accomplishment of the team goal.

In such teams a strong commitment to and desire for team membership is significantly present.

A key challenge is to find ways to create the elements of an effective team when individuals may have had no prior commitment to one another or to common task.
