IntraNet and CD-ROM Learning
Although eLearning is often used interchangeably with web-based training, we also provide electronic training material delivered via IntraNet or CD-ROMs.
Using an array of multimedia (animation, simulation, video, narration, sound effects, photographs, and illustrations) delivered at speeds that are not constrained by bandwith, computer based trainings can be one of the most powerful delivery methods available.
Full-screen environments and video can be presented, and there is no need to bother with plug-in technologies.
On the down side, when courses are running from a CD or the users’ local hard drive, keeping track of their progress and successes for reporting purposes can be difficult.
In addition, updating information may be expensive and time-consuming compared to web-based training.
Most CD-based courses we’ve created in recent years have actually been hybrid CDs, taking advantage of the best of CD and web technologies.
Hybrid CDs offer all the power, speed, and beauty of CD-based delivery while still being able to take advantage of web-based benefits like up-to-date information and tests that can be easily tracked at a central location.
